SNORKELING

"Explore the underwater tapestry of Andaman – where snorkeling is not just an activity but an immersion into the living art of the sea."

The Andaman Islands stand out as a premier destination for snorkeling enthusiasts. Renowned for its accessible reefs that begin at shallow depths, Andaman offers an ideal setting for snorkelers of various skill levels. Whether at Port Blair, Havelock, or Neil Island, snorkeling is a popular activity.

Professional guides accompany participants, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Specifically designated areas are closely monitored to safeguard both travelers and the delicate coral ecosystems, contributing to a responsible and sustainable snorkeling adventure in the Andaman Islands.

WHAT YOU GET TO EXPERINCE ?

Snorkeling involves swimming in a body of water equipped with a specially designed tube, known as a snorkel, and often swim fins. This gear allows the snorkeler to observe underwater attractions for extended periods with minimal effort, breathing through the dedicated tube. Scuba divers use snorkeling on the water's surface, and rescue teams may employ it during water-based searches.

The snorkel, typically around 30 cm long with an inside diameter between 1.5 and 2.5 centimeters, is usually L or J-shaped and features a mouthpiece at the lower end, crafted from rubber or plastic. It facilitates breathing air from above the water surface when the snorkeler's mouth and nose are submerged. A rubber component connects the snorkel to the outside of the diving mask strap to prevent mask leakage when snorkeling.
